Although not yet officially announced, the ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 has turned up on a couple of Australian websites ready to order, NotebookCheck.net has reported.
The latest ultra-thin laptop from ASUS was first leaked in a press release last month, although it's still not been officially launched. We've got all the details so far right here...
ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 specs
Mwave.com.au, one of two Australian retailers currently listing the laptop, lists a number of all-but-confirmed specs for the latest ZenBook. It's unlikely these will be different from the official announcement.
As initially thought, the UX425 is powered by a 10th-gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, with an 8 MB cache and up to 3.9 GHz turbo frequency. It features 16 GB on-board LPDDR4X RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The laptop's graphics are powered by an Intel Iris Plus GPU.

ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 features

There's not a whole lot of info yet on the UX425's features. But what we do know is that the Intel Iris Plus-fuelled graphics are delivered on a 14" full HD screen, which also houses an HD IR webcam.
In terms of connectivity, the laptop is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one USB-A slot, a HDMI port and a Micro SD card slot. It also features Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6.
The real selling point of the ZenBook, though, is just how thin and light it is. This newcomer to the series is said to be just 139 mm (0.55 inches) deep and weigh only 1.2 kg (2.65 lbs).

ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 price
Mwave.com.au currently lists the UX425 at a price of $1,939. This converts to around £1,060 in the UK, €1,190 in Europe and $1,340 in the US.
The UX434FAC, which has a range of similar specs but with a touchscreen and Intel Optane, currently sells for £1,099 at Currys PC World. So a price point of just over a grand isn't out of the question.

ASUS ZenBook 14 UX425 release date
Seeing as the UX425 hasn't been officially recognised by ASUS yet, we're not holding out hope for a release date any time soon. Apparently it is set to ship out of Australia in July, but this might well change. Expect a Q4 2020 release.
