What is Snoop Dogg Doing in the Metaverse?

On September 23, Sandbox announced that they would be partnering with Snoop Dogg to bring him to the Metaverse. Sandbox has done some very cool things with their metaverse platform, but Snoop Dogg is bringing something new and fresh to the metaverse.

The legendary rapper is setting up his mansion in the metaverse, where he will perform live concerts and interact with players. The mansion is the recreation of his real-life mansion in Diamond Bar, California. He has also started an initial land sale to allow players to purchase property in his neighbourhood aka Snoopverse.

In addition, he has also launched the Snoop Dogg NFT collection. It includes several unique items like exclusive Snoop Dogg avatars, his personal car collection, dogs, NFT art and more. Moreover, he will be hosting concerts and private pool parties in the Metaverse, which players can attend by purchasing the Snoop Private Party NFT ticket.

What is Snoopverse?

As the name suggests, Snoop Dogg's universe in the Metaverse is known as the Snoopverse. The Snoopverse consists of 598 LANDs, 212 Premium LANDs, six small ESTATEs (3x3), three medium ESTATEs (6x6) and one large ESTATE L (12x12). Out of it, 122 LANDs, 67 Premium LANDs and three ESTATEs have already been sold in the initial land sale. Benzinga reported that one fan paid $450,000 to be Snoop’s virtual neighbour.

The Premium LAND owners will get a bundle of three exclusive Snoop Dogg branded NFTs. It includes a Snoopverse Early Access Pass, Snoop statue and a Brown Sugar car. Along with Snoop, his friends Cozomo de’ Medici and the late American Rapper Nipsey Hussle also own their own ESTATEs in the Snoopverse.
