With the popularity of the Metaverse growing, so too is the need to positively influence people to jump on the bandwagon. The more people and companies join the Metaverse, the more successful it will be. And this is where Metaverse influencers come in. Let's take a look at what they are and who they are.
What is a Metaverse Influencer?
As the name suggests, Metaverse influencers or meta-fluencers are people who influence other people to join the Metaverse or invest in it. They can convince others to join the Metaverse by sharing their stories, showcasing the advantages of the Metaverse, and answering questions.
Typically, Metaverse influencers are people who are popular in the real world and have a large number of followers online. Their ultimate goal is to promote the platform and help build the Metaverse into a thriving community.
Needless to say, Metaverse is the future and the Metaverse influencers will be the ones to usher it into the mainstream. We have already seen this happen with the crypto-currency community and now it is happening with the Metaverse.
Who are the Influencers of the Metaverse?
In the last year, we witnessed a number of well-known figures enter the Metaverse. American rapper Snoop Dogg and fashion model turned DJ Paris Hilton are two such people.
Paris Hilton has created a virtual island in the Roblox Metaverse. The island includes a replica of her Beverly Hills mansion, DJ stages, a zoo, private jet, yacht and more. The Paris World has attracted over 70,000 visitors so far and teen girls are shelling out money to buy Paris's virtual clothing.
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg has set up a mansion in the Sandbox Metaverse. He has also started land sales to allow players to purchase property in his neighbourhood aka the Snoopverse. Benzinga reported that one fan paid $450,000 to be Snoop’s virtual neighbour.
This illustrates the huge influence that these famous figures can have on the market. The more interesting part is that these two are not the only ones who have made their way into the Metaverse. Celebrities like Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Shawn Mendes are some who have involved themselves in the Metaverse. We can expect many more to follow suit.
