The return of Daredevil on Disney Plus marks the first Marvel Netflix series to make its grand return. While Marvel has yet to announce any further Netflix revivals, Star Wars actress Rosario Dawson has revealed the next series to return: The Punisher.
Is The Punisher coming back?
In a panel at C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo), Dawson revealed that The Punisher is returning for his own series. While the actress revealed little details about the series, she did reveal that it’s happening.
In a video posted online, Dawson explained that she knows about the Daredevil return, but was more concerned with The Punisher. The actress explained that she hopes to come back for the series as this was the only Netflix Marvel show she wasn’t in.
“I heard that [Daredevil] announcement,” She said. “But I found out yesterday that The Punisher was happening again. I feel like it’s my second chance because it was the only one of the shows that I wasn’t in and I love Jon Bernthal.
Dawson continued to ask fans to hope for her return in the series. With the actress’ casting as Ahsoka in Star Wars occurring due to mass fan casting, her return is possible with enough support.
“So, let’s all make it happen collectively, guys!” the actress cheered.

Could he come back for Captain America: New World Order?
The Punisher returning for his own series is great news for fans of the Netflix show. However, many are wondering how the character will fit into the rest of the MCU.
There are theories that the character could appear in the upcoming Captain America movie. The new movie will be the theatrical debut of Sam Wilson’s Captain America, but fans claim that it will also star The Punisher.
In the comic books, Frank Castle looks up to Captain America. However, typically, the character looks up to Steve Rogers. With Steve Rogers now gone, perhaps he will look to Sam Wilson instead.
Whatever the case, Frank Castle’s return will be glorious. Hopefully, the new series will be just as brutal as it used to be.
