Jamie Lee Curtis would ‘of course’ join Marvel, even after dissing them

Jamie Lee Curtis has been pretty vocal about her criticisms of the MCU, especially in the lead up to multiverse masterpiece Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. Despite these complaints, the veteran actress would gladly join the cinematic universe.

It might shock some fans, but Curtis aimed she would star in a Marvel movie if given the chance. Granted, the actress doesn’t think that Marvel would get her for a role but she would be interested in an MCU stint if the character interests her.

Jamie Lee Curtis in the MCU?

During an interview with People, the Halloween star admitted that she would be interested in an MCU role if Marvel offered her one. Jamie Lee Curtis has been quite vocal about her displeasure with Marvel, even throwing some shade at the studio while praising Everything Everywhere All at Once, but as a collaborative artist, she’s willing to hear them out and even work with them.

"Honestly, I can't imagine that they will ever come calling because I kicked up some dust. But I'm a collaborating artist,” Curtis explains. “I work with a lot of people on a lot of different things, and if the role was interesting and if I could bring what I do to it, of course, I would [work with Marvel]. What am I going to do, say no? Of course!”

While she would be interested in working on a Marvel movie, the acclaimed actress doesn’t think it’s going to happen. Curtis feels that Marvel wouldn’t be interested in casting a 64-year-old actress in anything. She’s also worried that they would make her do motion capture by herself, rather than act with her fellow actors.

“But I would find it hard to imagine that Marvel's going to figure out something to do with a 64-year-old woman. I'm afraid if I do a Marvel movie, they're going to stick dots all over me and make me act by myself in a warehouse somewhere."

Who could Jamie Lee Curtis play in the MCU?

To be fair to Jamie Lee Curtis, Marvel doesn’t have too many aged characters that she could play as Madame Web would have been a good choice, had Sony not cast Dakota Johnson for the role. Death could have been a fun role for Cutis if Marvel didn’t completely change Thanos’ mission in the MCU.

One great role for Jamie Lee Curtis would be Cassandra Nova, Professor X’s evil twin sister. Anyone who has read New X-Men knows that Nova has made life hell for the X-Men, often considered to be one of their most powerful foes. If anyone can portray the character’s twisted personality, it would be Jamie Lee Curtis.

Hopefully, the two sides can meet in the middle so they can decide on a great Marvel role for the beloved actress. If anyone deserves a great role in a Marvel movie, it’s Jamie Lee Curtis.
