Now that Ms. Marvel has set up The Marvels with Brie Larson’s surprise cameo, many are excited to see what the upcoming MCU instalment has in store for these heroes. While most of us are expecting the usual amount of action, jokes, and characterization from the MCU, it turns out that The Marvels might have musical elements to it.

The first MCU musical?

According to the rumor mill, The Marvels will have a good bit of musical elements to it, though it might not be a full-blown Disney-esque singalong. The rumor mill started turning when KC Walsh of Geeks Worldwide fame asked on Twitter: "Anyone else hearing that The Marvels has a “musical” element to it?"

Twitter user @UpToTASK replied by saying that The Marvels might have a segment where Carol, Kamala, and Monica go to a planet where they can only communicate through song. UpToTask also said that they got the scoop from Daniel Richtman, who runs a Captain Marvel-focused Twitter account.

With all these rumors swirling around about The Marvels having musical elements, it will be interesting to see if they end up coming true. Sure, a musical segment would be ridiculous, but so is a teenager who crawls on walls.

Brie Larson sings again?

Prior to her breakout roles in Room and Captain Marvel, Brie Larson dabbled in singing quite a few times. Aside from being an actual singer with songs, Larson also famously covered Black Sheep by Metric in the movie Scott Pilgrim vs The World, which is still loved by many geeks to this day.

Because of all this, we wouldn’t be surprised if Larson ended up lending her vocals to this part of The Marvels. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the actress let loose with her music, though she did release an acoustic cover of Black Sheep during the pandemic.
