Captain America: New World Order has a ‘huge budget’ for a Marvel solo film

Captain America: New World Order is set to be a huge MCU project, filled with returns and a huge budget. Emphasis on huge, as the film is set to be one of the pricier MCU movies due to returns and replacements.

Fans already know that The Leader from Incredible Hulk is set to return, reprised by Tim Blake Nelson. Harrison Ford is also set to make an appearance as Thunderbolt Ross, likely setting up his major role in Thunderbolts.

Captain America: New World Order gets a huge budget and a new production company

According to The Cosmic Circus, Captain America: New World Order will have a “huge budget,” which should get fans excited. Honestly, with The Leader, Thunderbolt Ross, and Carl Lumbly’s Isaiah Bradley returning, there’s a lot for MCU fans to enjoy.

The Cosmic Circus also claims that Changeup Productions LLC is the new production company for Captain America 4, which is interesting. Prior to this, Vita Ray Productions handled the Chris Evans-led Captain America films, so maybe Marvel wanted even more change.

Obviously, these are all interesting moves and we’re all interested in seeing how this affects the first Sam Wilson-led movie. With ties to The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, along with numerous MCU elements at play, fans are very excited.

When does production start?

Captain America: New World Order is expected to start production in March of next year, getting ahead of its 2024 release. This isn’t unheard of and the amount of time needed for filming and editing should lead to extra polishing time.

Anthony Mackie previously said that he had some say in the movie’s writing, which is good to know. Here’s hoping that leads to a really good MCU film akin to Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Fans can catch Captain America: New World Order in theaters on May 3, 2024.
