The new Xbox app for Android: What does it do, and how can you get involved with the beta?

Microsoft is not only releasing two new consoles in the form of the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, but they're also supporting their own cloud gaming platform called Xbox Cloud Gaming.

They've got a lot of things going on, and that's not even including the fact that they're also running Game Pass.

Well, alongside everything else, they've tried to make things a little easier to manage by introducing an Android app.

Here's everything you need to know about the Xbox app for Android.

What is the Xbox app for Android

As officially detailed in a post over on the Xbox site, the new app "has been rewritten from the ground up making it easier for all gamers to stay connected to your friends, games and fun at home or on the go, no matter what device they prefer to play on."

As well as that, "Your friends and parties can stay with you via voice and text chat, even if they’re on console or PC. A new, unified notification inbox means you will now receive and be able to clear your notifications for new party invites, messages, and more right on your phone. "

It's basically a way to track everything and everyone socially, and it's designed to make your life easier. Well, at least your gaming life.
