How to reverse a video on Snapchat

Like most other social media apps around today, Snapchat lets you share photos and videos with your friends online. In this article, we'll show you how to reverse a video on Snapchat.

With all the different features Snapchat has to offer, one can argue that it's more than just a typical instant messaging app. With it, you can do things like share memories or even have a conversation with an AI chatbot.

Now, reversing a video might not sound as complex as speaking to an AI, but it can be just as interesting.

How to reverse a video on Snapchat

Reversing a video on Snapchat isn't that hard to do, but the app doesn't make it all that obvious, either. Here's how to reverse a video on Snapchat:

  • Record a video through Snapchat. Make sure it stays under 10 seconds.
  • Swipe left to browse through filters and keep swiping left until three triangles pointing to the left show up on your video.
  • Tap on the triangles to apply the reverse filter.
  • Tap on the Download button to save the video to your device.

Your video will now go in reverse when played. That includes the audio, too!

Keep in mind that you can also add more effects like text or stickers to your video after applying the reverse filter.

When should you reverse a video?

Any time you want!

There really aren't any rules when it comes to using filters on Snapchat or any social media app for that matter. They're simply there for you to use at your own discretion, so try to get creative with them.

But remember, you can only apply the reverse filter to videos you've recorded through the Snapchat app. And they have to be 10 seconds or less, otherwise, the filter won't show up as an option.

Still, learning your way around Snapchat? Here's how to do a half swipe and what it's used for.
