- If all is well with the servers, link/unlink your Amazon and Steam accounts for Lost Ark. Here is how:
- Sign intoto your Amazon Games account.
- Unlink your Amazon account from blue Steam text on the right.
- Now, re-link the account.
- Launch Lost Ark and see if the error persists. If not, good for you. If yes, proceed to the next step.
- Your next step is to verify the integrity of the game files, in case somethnig has become corrupted. To do this:
- Restart your computer and launch Steam
- Next, you can either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right
- From the drop down menu, select Properties...
- Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button
- This process usually takes several minutes, so just wait patiently until it is complete.
- There is also one user reported fix which might be worth trying: If you are a Windows 10 user, try connecting to the internet via a mobile hotspot, before choosing your server. IPv6 is the latest Internet Protocol, and toggling this may help improve communication between your device and the servers. To do this:
- From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
- Select Network and Internet.
- In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
- When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
- Select Properties. Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6.
- Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
- Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
- Try launching the game again.
Refresh Credentials
The last recommended step is to refresh your credentials. This is a means of changing your IP address on your device. The steps are as follows:
- From the Start menu, type cmd.
- In the results that populate, right-click the Command Prompt result and select Run as administrator.
- Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. Wait a few seconds and when the command prompt appears, proceed to the next step.
- Next, type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
- Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
- Then, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
- And finally, type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Once you've done all this, restart your computer. Grant Steam administrator privileges, then try running Lost Ark again.
