The Lost Ark server error is one of the most commonly reported errors by players. Some users say it happens right after they join a Lost Ark session. Others say it occurs while they are attempting to launch the game.

Whatever the reason, Lost Ark server error 10010 has been frustrating the majority of its players. However, there is a way around it. We’ve compiled a list of the most common solutions that may help you get past this issue. Are you sitting comfortably? Then let's begin.

How To Fix Lost Ark Server Error 10010

If you are on the receiving end of the server error, here's what we recommend:

  • Start by checking the server status for the game. If there is an issue, wait until it's resolved before trying again. You can also check the official Twitter feed @playlostark for updates.
  • If all is well with the servers, link/unlink your Amazon and Steam accounts for Lost Ark. Here is how:
    • Sign intoto your Amazon Games account.
    • Unlink your Amazon account from blue Steam text on the right.
    • Now, re-link the account.
    • Launch Lost Ark and see if the error persists. If not, good for you. If yes, proceed to the next step.
  • Your next step is to verify the integrity of the game files, in case somethnig has become corrupted. To do this:
    • Restart your computer and launch Steam
    • Next, you can either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right
    • From the drop down menu, select Properties...
    • Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button
    • This process usually takes several minutes, so just wait patiently until it is complete.
  • There is also one user reported fix which might be worth trying: If you are a Windows 10 user, try connecting to the internet via a mobile hotspot, before choosing your server. Once you are conencted, switch back to your regular network. We don't know for sure how well this works, but it's worth a try.

Perhaps unusually, we aren't quite done. The developers recommend a couple of additional steps, that we'll run through next.

Toggle IPv6

IPv6 is the latest Internet Protocol, and toggling this may help improve communication between your device and the servers. To do this:

  • From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
  • Select Network and Internet.
  • In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
  • When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
  • Select Properties. Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6.
  • Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
  • Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
  • Try launching the game again.

Refresh Credentials

The last recommended step is to refresh your credentials. This is a means of changing your IP address on your device. The steps are as follows:

  • From the Start menu, type cmd.
  • In the results that populate, right-click the Command Prompt result and select Run as administrator.
  • Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. Wait a few seconds and when the command prompt appears, proceed to the next step.
  • Next, type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
  • Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
  • Then, type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
  • And finally, type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

Once you've done all this, restart your computer. Grant Steam administrator privileges, then try running Lost Ark again.

If, despite running through all these steps, nothing works? It's time to contact Amazon Games Support for additional help and advice.

What Is The Lost Ark Server Error?

Players of Lost Ark have experienced this error when trying to launch the game. Instead of opening the game, players receive a "Server Authentication Failed" error message. The only course of action available to them is to close the client.

It isn't immediately apparent why this is happening, but the most likely suspect is an issue with the servers, rather than a specific software fault (although we can't rule it out completely). In most cases, server related issues resolve after a period of time. But there often isn't a huge amount that players can do to speed things up.

In this case, the suggestions we've outlined above are your best chance of overcoming the problem. So give them a try, and hope for the best.
