HTC Vive double vision: How to fix it

Virtual reality or VR headsets tend to have double vision problems. And the HTC Vive is no exception.

You can sometimes see a double of everything - double buildings, double walls, double people. It's double trouble, basically.

The good news is that problems like this one can be fixed. Just follow the right and proper steps to solve it.

Here's how to fix your HTC Vive double vision problem:

Fix your HTC Vive double vision problem by adjusting the IPD settings

Double vision in the HTC Vive may occur if you do not set the IPD settings of your headset correctly.

First, you need to calculate your own IPD. You can do it by clicking here.

Once you know your correct IPD, adjust your IPD settings by using the tiny turn knob placed on your HTC Vive headset's lower right-hand side.

Fix your HTC Vive double vision problem by disabling the "Advanced supersampling filter" in SteamVR

Another way to fix your HTC Vive double vision problem is by disabling the "Advanced supersampling filter" in your SteamVR app.

The forum page of I2 Sturmovik mentioned that this filter option could render a higher resolution to produce a smoother image.

But it could cause problems with your headset's L and R distance.

So just disable it to prevent the double vision problem on your HTC Vive.
