How to change region on PS4: Create a new PSN account to access games, demos and deals from around the world

Sometimes you the best things on PS4 are only available somewhere you don't live. There are few things as frustrating as finding out your favourite series in the world has a demo available, but only for a continent that you don't live in.

Unfortunately, this is the reality of gaming on consoles. Sometimes what you want is available where you are, so you need to learn how to teleport to another country.

If teleporting yourself isn't a reasonable request, then you should just try changing your region instead, that'll allow you to access another country's online store.

So, this is how you can change your PSN region on PS4, and access those sweet forbidden goods.

How to add money for a different region on PS4

Gift cards are the name of the game here. The issue is that your credit card or Paypal account needs to match the region of the account it's registered to, and that means you probably won't have one suited to your fancy new offshore (PSN) account.

So, your best bet is to grab some PSN gift cards for the region your account is in. Head over to Amazon US and treat yourself to a PSN gift card for the amount you are looking to spend. You can occasionally get some good deals on them.

Once you've got all that you're good to go. You know everything you need to know about setting up a PSN account for a different region and the world is your lobster, or something. Just make sure you don't get too drunk on the power you now wield.
