If you enjoy VR games, you may be wondering whether the Epic Games store supports Oculus Quest 2 games. After all, it sells a vast selection of games that are Windows compatible. And, if it wants to rival Steam, then VR games are a growing part of the equation. What then, does Epic Games offer in the way of VR game support? Does the Epic Game Store support Oculus Quest 2 games? Let's see.
Does Epic Games Store Support Oculus Quest 2 VR Games?
At the time of writing, trying to find VR games on the Epic Games store does not provide a treasure trove of games to select from. In fact, there are just six games listed on the site when you use the VR filter to browse for games. That doesn't necessarily mean that other VR games aren't available on EGS. It just means they are extremely hard to find, if they are there.
Of the six games listed under the VR category, only Myst is explicitly listed as being compatible with the Oculus Quest via a link cable (that's the original Quest, rather than the Quest 2 specifically). This strongly suggests that the Epic Games store does not really support Oculus Quest 2 VR games. Not in any meaningful sense. Many of the games would simply be too much for the Quest 2 software to handle. But that isn't the end of the story.

Playing PC Games From The Epic Games Store
While at first glance it appears that the Epic Games Store doesn't support Oculus Quest 2 VR games, there is still a possibility that you can play games you've bought on EGS, in your Quest 2 headset.
By using the Link Cable, you can essentially use your Oculus Quest 2 the same way an Oculus Rift worked. In other words, the PC does most of the heavy lifting. By using this method, any games on EGS that were playable on the Rift, become available for the Quest 2 as well. If the game has VR support using SteamVR, or native Oculus support, it can run on the Rift, and by extension, the Quest 2 via Link Cable.
There is also the option of using the Virtual Desktop. This will also allow you to stream Rift games to your Quest 2 wirelessly. Some players who have tried this method have had issues using the EGS launcher. When they press "Launch in VR" the game remains on the virtual desktop, rather than becoming a full VR experience. A suggested remedy if you are experiencing this issue is to make sure that you also have SteamVR installed and working, and also to grant the Epic launcher administrator privileges.
And finally, you have the option of using Air Link, a wireless way of playing PC games via your Quest 2 headset. This is still regarded as an 'experimental' feature on the Quest 2. But it's a good option if you don't want to use a cable while gaming. One potential issue with this method is that the wireless connection may not be as stable as that of a wired link. But on the flip side, you do have total freedom of movement, with no cables to get tangled up in.

We can't say for certain how well this all works, but players have reported that these steps have been effective. So potentially worth a try if there are games you want to experience on your Quest 2.
