There are a handful of workarounds that should prevent the update loop from taking place but they may require some waiting.

Scan and repair

If the update loop can't be broken and you don't fancy waiting several hours to reinstall Warzone, performing a 'Scan and Repair' to fix any corrupted files is another good option.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Click on the cog next to the play button
  • Select the Scan and Repair option
  • Wait for the repair to finish

This should remove the corrupted files and replace them with the correct ones, preventing the loop from appearing.

Wait for a fix

If a scan and repair or a full reinstallation don't stop the Warzone update loop on Battle.net, the last resort is to wait for the developers to apply a fix to the game.
