To farm adhesive, you can collect them from Sweetwater Cacti or repeatedly purchase the item from a particular vendor in the Sol system. Buying adhesive will save you a lot of time, but it could end up making a sizeable dent in your wallet.

Farming sweetwater cacti

Sweetwater cacti are found on a planet named Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri system. Travel to Gagarin and keep an eye out for some round, prickly, green pumpkin-looking plants.

Give this plant a quick scan and you’ll find that it drops an item called Adhesive Root. As you may have already guessed from its name, these roots can serve as an adhesive.

You can also build an outpost and craft a greenhouse if you have at least level 1 botany. With a greenhouse, you can plant your own sweetwater cacti and harvest them at your leisure.

Purchasing adhesives

To farm adhesives with credits, you’re going to need to find a vendor in New Homestead named Jae Montreal. New Homestead is on Titan, one of Jupiter’s moons, so you’ll find it in the Sol system.

Once you find Jae, simply buy all of the adhesives he has in stock. You can then have a seat in the chair inside his shop and wait for 3 to 8 hours. Mr. Montreal should have restocked on adhesives by then.

Adhesives usually cost 11 credits each, but prices can fluctuate from time to time. Make sure to double-check how much you’re paying for these items before you confirm the transaction.
