Path of Exile 2 is finally on its way, so you may be on the lookout for details like its release date, trailer, and platforms.

There have been plenty of comparisons made between Path of Exile and the Diablo series of games because of the similarities in gameplay and aesthetic. However, Path of Exile has proven that it is more than just a free-to-play alternative to the popular Blizzard franchise.

Path of Exile 2 will serve as an update to the original game that includes a new seven-act storyline, an updated skill system, additional ascendancy classes, and a graphics overhaul.

Path of Exile 2 release date

No official release date for Path of Exile 2 has been revealed just yet.

However, In the gameplay teaser trailer showcased at the Summer Game Fest, it was mentioned that more information would be revealed on July 28. This coincides with the ExileCon Livestream event.

ExileCon is a convention that is dedicated to everything Path of Exile. So keep an eye out for updates and announcements during this event, as it may shed more light on the release date and other aspects of Path of Exile 2.

Path of Exile 2 platforms

There haven't been any official announcements regarding the platforms for Path of Exile 2, leaving us to speculate based on the trends observed with Path of Exile 1.

While we await official information, it is reasonable to anticipate that Path of Exile 2 will be available on a variety of platforms, including:

  • Windows PC
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 5

While this list is based on speculation and may be subject to change when official information is released, it is highly likely that Path of Exile 2 will be available on PC, and current-gen consoles such as Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.

There are a handful of trailers up on Path of Exile 2's official site, but the one gameplay teaser shown at Summer Game Fest showcases a magic-based class that focuses on lightning attacks.

That's pretty much all we know about the Path of Exile sequel so far. It's not much, but at least we know to look forward to ExileCon this July for more reveals.
