Where to find Gimmighoul

Roaming Form Gimmighouls can be found in various locations such as ruins, Pokemon Centers, bridges, and signs. They respawn frequently, so it's worth revisiting areas where they were previously spotted.

Chest Form Gimmighouls, on the other hand, can be caught, and defeating or catching them in battle yields anywhere from 30 to 777 coins. They are found in set locations and have a chance of respawning every day.

Can you catch Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

While you can't catch the Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you can still interact with them in the wild. When you encounter a Roaming Form Gimmighoul, you'll have the option to interact with it. By doing so, you'll receive Gimmighoul Coins, which are used to evolve your Gimmighoul into Gholdengo.

By interacting with as many Roaming Form Gimmighoul as possible, you can speed up the process and make it easier to evolve your Chest Form Gimmighoul.

How to catch Gimmighoul

Players need to walk up to the chest and interact with it to initiate a battle with Gimmighoul. Once the battle begins, players can weaken it to have the opportunity to catch the Pokemon and add it to their collection.

Note that you can only catch Chest Form Gimmighoul, and Roaming Form Gimmighoul will simply run away once you interact with it.

Collecting Gimmighoul coins

Evolving Gimmighoul into Gholdengo requires effort, as players will need to collect 999 Gimmighoul Coins. These coins are not obtainable through catching Chest Form Gimmighoul but by interacting with Roaming Form Gimmighoul.

Another method of obtaining coins is by defeating Chest Form Gimmighoul, which can be found in fixed locations around various locations. Chest Form Gimmighoul spawns on top of towers and ruins, and defeating it drops a large number of coins. Furthermore, they periodically respawn, so you can keep farming them.

Evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo

How strong is Gholdengo?

Evolving Ghimmighoul can be a tiring task, but once you have the evolved Gholdengo, you will notice how overpowered it is.

Gholdengo's ability, Good as Gold, is a unique and powerful ability that makes it a formidable opponent. This ability prevents Gholdengo from being affected by status moves, with the exception of those that target itself. This means that Gholdengo can easily switch in on an opponent's status move, such as Toxic, and not be affected by it, making it a very effective defensive Pokemon.

In addition, Gholdengo's signature move, Make it Rain, is a formidable Steel-type move that unleashes a rain of coins on the opponent, dealing massive damage with a base power of 120. The coins fall from the sky and strike the target, causing massive damage while also creating a stunning visual display.

However, the use of this powerful move comes with a price. Gholdengo's Special Attack stat is lowered by one stage every time it uses Make it Rain. Despite this drawback, the move is considered well worth the cost due to its sheer power and ability to hit both opponents in a double battle.
