How to connect two controllers to PS4 console

First of all, it's worth noting that there are two ways to connect your PlayStation 4 controller:

  • Via USB
  • Via Bluetooth

Connect via USB

Follow these steps to connect your PS4 controller to the console via USB:

  1. Turn on the console using the button located on it.
  2. Connect a USB cable to one of the ports on the PS4.
  3. Connect the micro USB end of the cable to the top port on your controller.
  4. Press the PlayStation button in the center of the controller until the lightbar turns blue.
  1. If the controller doesn't connect, try using a different USB-A to micro USB cable.
  2. Finally, select your desired profile from the options available on the screen.

Connect via Bluetooth

Turn on pairing mode to pair your wireless controller with a supported device using Bluetooth for the first time.

  1. Make sure the player indicator on the controller is turned off.
  2. If the player indicator is on, press and hold the PS button until it turns off. Also, disconnect any USB connected to the controller.
  3. Press and hold the PS button until the light bar starts flashing while holding the SHARE button.

  2. When the pairing process is complete, the light bar on the controller will blink, and the player indicator will light up.
