How to change your ship colour in Starfield
Luckily, this is definitely an easy thing to do and also doesn't cost anything. No reasons no to spend some time customizing your ship and parts, then. You need to press the "J" key once you are in the ship builder to be taken to the screen where you can customize your ship colours.
First things first, let's find a Ship Services Tech. This is easy and you've probably already seen one, since they can be found basically in every town that you can dock in. The first one though? They are in New Atlantis.
Go talk to them and then choose the following:
- Choose "I want to view and modify my ships"
- Now find the one you'd like to edit.
- Press "B" and enter ship builder.
- There you can customize basically everything about your ship and its various parts.
- Now, finally, you can press the "J" key and choose the colours you'd like.
Now, you will see that it is possible to choose between up to three different colours, which will cover areas of your ship and its parts as well. There are a lot of different options, such as how to change saturation, brightness and hue. You can let your fantasy take over in how to do this.
Once you've finished choosing, just confirm with Enter and you're good to go. You can also click "select all" to paint all the parts of your ship at once, to save time.
