With only a couple more weeks until the PlayStation exclusive arrives when Horizon Forbidden West is finally released on PC, I’m sure you’re eager to know if your PC will meet the system requirements. Will yours meet the criteria and can you finally play the latest Horizon game?

The Horizon Forbidden West PC release date is almost upon us, which means we only had to wait a few months after the port was revealed by PlayStation to see the next stage of Aloy's adventure on Steam and Epic Games Store. But if you're wondering whether your PC can handle this PS4 and PS5 title, here's the requirements.

The Horizon Forbidden West system requirements for the PC version of the game are:

Compared to the recommended specs for the previous game, Horizon Zero Dawn, these are slightly higher. The processor required for the game is four and two generations higher, depending on whether you have an Intel or AMD CPU.

Not only that, but the recommended GPU for the first game was the GTX 1060, and the RX 580, so you'll need to upgrade your GPU to even meet the minimum requirements for this game. Fortunately, you can find out the best graphics card in our handy buyers guide.

Check out the image shared by Nvidia below to see what these requirements are targeting, as well as what specs you'll need to meet the "Very High" settings too.

Fortunately, PlayStation has confirmed that the game will use a variety of performance-aiding tech, such as DLSS, FSR, and XeSS. So, if your PC isn't able to meet the specs like you had hoped, you may benefit from using something to boost your performance.

If you're exciting to play Aloy's next adventure as much as us, there's no doubt you'll be happy to finally see the specs required to run the game(or frustrated, if your PC is below the requirements). Thankfully, we don't have to wait long to enter the Forbidden West, with the game launching in mere weeks from now.
