As the countdown begins for this PlayStation exclusive to arrive on Steam, PC gamers are eager to get their hands on Horizon Forbidden West. It's almost time to forget the real world for a little while and to join this fantasy one. But, what time will Horizon Forbidden West be released for PC users, so you can finally play?
Going all the way back to August 2020 when Horizon Zero Dawn was released on PC and after its very successful launch, selling over 700,000 copies in a short span of time, PC fans were thrilled to hear they can continue their journey as Aloy with the Horizon Forbidden West PC release date announced, as the game arrives on Steam and Epic Games Store on March 21, 2024.
While Horizon Forbidden West was announced earlier this year for PC, PS5 gamers have had the opportunity to play the game since early 2022. However, even if it is a few years late, it shows that PlayStation is still committed to releasing some exclusives on Steam and EGS. We're just waiting on Ghost of Tsushima now, please?
Horizon Forbidden West PC release time estimate
With no exact release time announced just yet, we can only go off the times for Horizon Zero Dawn, and other PlayStation exclusive games on PC. If the latest release follows Zero Dawns’ pattern, we’ll likely be looking around 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM GMT for the time Horizon Forbidden West will be released on PC.
When Horizon Forbidden West was released on Playstation back in February 2022, it launched at midnight locally, the standard times for most console games to launch
Other Playstation exclusive games that came to PC, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man, which was released in October 2023 at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET / 12 PM BST. When God of War finally released back in January 2022 for PC - which was three years after its PS4 debut, that was released for PC users at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM GMT. Considering that Zero Dawn and God of War released at the same time, we imagine the same can be said for Forbidden West. However, we will update this guide when an official time is revealed.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until later to play Aloy’s recent adventure on PC, but at least it’s at a more reasonable time than midnight.
