How to Beat Scylla and the Sirens in Hades 2

The fight against Scylla and her Siren band consists of dealing with the three Sirens in three separate phases. Let's go over how to beat Scylla in each one.

Phase 1

During Phase 1, you have to fight all three Sirens in their normal mode. While this can feel extremely overwhelming at first due to all the abilities they throw at you, it's quite easy once you know all they're capable of. Here are all the Siren abilities they'll employ.

First off, we have Scylla, the Vocalist.

  • Scylla has a powerful close-range AoE attack, and she will slowly make her way towards you with this ability activated. I recommend staying as far away as possible while she does this.
  • Scylla will also launch a wave of orbs that cover the width of the field as they spread out. You have to dash through these or get very far away.
  • Scylla also summons an energy that manifests in a cross around her and will rotate around her for a while.
  • Lastly, Scylla has a melee attack that she launches if you're too close. But you can tell it's coming from the audio queue so you can prepare to dodge ahead of time.

Next up we have Jetty – the guitarist

Jetty is the most agile of the three and she will dash around the arena trying to run you down.

  • Whenever she collides with a wall or object after a dash, she releases a medium-sized ring of damage originating from her which expands out slowly. Either dash into this ring or just keep your distance.
  • She has a series of rapid air projectiles that won't hurt you, but they will stun you.
  • She also has a quick melee attack that can hurt you quite a bit.

Lastly, we have the Roxy – the drummer:

  • Roxy only performs a single but extremely deadly move during the first phase. She is responsible for the barrage of AoE attacks that will slowly make their way from one side of the map to the other. There are gaps to avoid this near the bottom of the map or if you can time your dash right.

Phase 2

Once you damage all three sirens enough, they will go into shield mode one by one. Once all three are down, one of them will be selected as a featured artist and have their abilities empowered.

During this phase, Scylla starts summoning large, slow-moving projectiles that track you. Roxy starts doing an attack that covers the whole field except the area around herself and then vice versa. Lastly, Roxy just gets more aggressive and her rings become wider and deal more damage.

The strategy remains the same during this fight(go to the tips section for the strategy), but you have more casts and projectiles to deal with this time.

Phase 3

During the final phase, it will be just you against Scylla who is on her last legs. However, she will summon a horde of the mean piranha-type enemies you've been dealing with throughout Oceanus. You can't keep avoiding them forever, so this phase is a bit of a DPS check on how quickly you can take down Scylla while avoiding the Piranha damage.

Hades 2 Scylla and the Sirens Tips and Tricks

Here are some tips and tricks to help you get through the fight:

  • Focus on beating the Drummer first because she remains stationary and is an easy target.
  • Don't stay on the Drummer for too long, as Scylla and Roxxy will corner you. Bait them away and dash back to hurt the drummer.
  • Scylla is immune to backstabs due to her shell. Damage her from the front.
  • The Sirens are weak to Hestia's Scorch abilities and take extra damage.
  • If you see them bunched up together, using powerful cast abilities such as Scorch, Lightning Bolts, and Apollo's Solar Ring will be very helpful.
  • During the third phase, use your cast to keep the fish away while you deal with Scylla.
  • Patience is key, and you should save Scylla for last in every encounter.
  • The Omega Attack on the Sister Blades is useful for getting behind the Sirens and avoiding attacks.

Hopefully, with these tips and movesets in mind, you should be able to take down Scylla and the Sirens after a couple of attempts.

Hades 2 Scylla and the Sirens Boss Fight Rewards

Defeating Scylla and the Sirens will gift you the Pearl and allow you to move to the next region. The Pearl is used in some incantations and for unlocking and upgrading a few Weapon Aspects later on. You won't be short on these by the time you get there.

Who is Scylla in Hades 2?

In Greek Mythology, Scylla was once a beautiful nymph who was cursed and turned into a Siren. As a Siren, Scylla lured in sailors with her beautiful songs only to devour them. In Hades 2, Scylla is running a music show in the depths of Oceanus that nobody really wants to hear. She'll keep coming in your way and fighting Melinoe, for basically no other reason than to perform her music. Fun fact, you can hear the instrumental part for each Siren stop as you defeat them. Cool, right?
