Diablo 4 stuck on character creation causes
Players usually encounter this issue at the very end of character creation. Once you've finally committed to how you want to look in the game, you hit confirm and then just stay there.
While stuck on character creation, UI elements on the screen will disappear, leaving just your character model. You can interact with this character model by rotating it, but not much else.
There is currently no known cause for getting stuck on Diablo 4's character creation just yet.
How to fix Diablo 4 stuck on character creation issue
Luckily, there have been a few players who've found a way past this issue and shared their success on the Blizzard forums. The most effective to solve this problem seems to be rebooting the game.
That seems like a simple enough solution, but there are some things to keep in mind when you restart the game:
- You'll be sent to the back of the queue. There's just no way around this, so you'll have to wait again before jumping back into the game after a restart.
- Check your character slots. Some players have reported duplicates of the character they've created when they got stuck, taking up multiple character slots.
- Customization progress should be saved. When you get back into character creation, all the changes you've previously made should still be there.
- Some players have reported that creating another character without making any changes during customization is what worked for them.
You might also consider simply waiting for character creation to push through, but most players remained stuck until they were eventually kicked out by an error.
