To kill people, you can use one of the most forbidden spells (check out the spell list) in the Harry Potter franchise: Avada Kedavra. Clearly, this name might be well familiar to fans of the young wizard series as it was used by the legendary noseless evil guy Voldemort.

How can you learn Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy?

You can learn Avada Kedavra in Hogwarts Legacy in two ways. One is about parting with your money by buying the "Deluxe Edition", the other is playing through the end of the game, basically.

Among other features, this edition includes the Dark Arts Battle Arena. In the arena, you can learn and unleash the taboo spell against enemies. The Deluxe Edition, which lets you do several wizard war crimes and is priced at $79.99 at launch.

Want to save some money? Players of the standard edition also can learn the spell towards the end of the game in a quest involving Sebastian Sallow. If you befriend the student, you can research the dark arts, thus unlocking some forbidden knowledge.

While it is possible to use Avada Kedavra outside of arena fights, be mindful that it involves a pretty long cooldown period before it can be used again.
