Need help traversing the Baldur’s Gate 3 Overgrown Tunnel? This is a pretty dangerous area, so you may need some assistance with getting through this part of the game safely.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is full of epic locations like the Adamantine Forge and Moonrise Towers. The Overgrown Tunnel might not have an imposing name, but it can be just as epic as the other places since you do get to fight a hag at the end.

So, let’s go ahead and figure out where the Baldur’s Gate 3 Overgrown Tunnels is and how to get through it.

Where is the Overgrown Tunnel?

The entrance to the Overgrown Tunnel is found inside the Riverside Teahouse in the Sunlit Wetlands. In this teahouse, you’ll meet a couple of NPCs named Mayrina and Auntie Ethel.

Making contact with these two people will kick off a quest called Save Mayrina. You’ll end up in the Overgrown Tunnel shortly after.

While still inside the Riverside Teahouse, look for a fireplace that will trigger a skill check. Pass the check and you’ll find out that the fireplace is actually an illusion and walking through it leads you to the Overgrown Tunnel.

How to get through the Overgrown Tunnel.

To get through the Overgrown Tunnel, you’ll need to find a way past the Gnarled Door, some noxious fumes, and a few enemies including the hag that lives there. There are some pretty nasty things in this place, so be sure to pay attention if you want to make it out in one piece.

To get past the Gnarled Door, pick up a Whispering Mask from a table in the room and have one of your characters put it on. Once equipped, you can just walk through the door.

In the next area, you will encounter a group of masked enemies. You can either sneak past these foes by keeping the Whispering Mask on or remove it and choose violence. Be warned though, by leaving the Whispering Mask on, the person wearing it will constantly need to make Wisdom saving throws. Fail a save and the character with the mask will start attacking the party.

After dealing with the masked entities, the next thing barring your path will be some noxious fumes. Figure out how to get past the noxious fumes and all that’s left is the fight against the hag.

And that’s our guide on getting through the Baldur’s Gate 3 Overgrown Tunnel. You might find the hag fight at the end challenging, so make sure you know how to save and how to heal in this RPG.
