The big new RPG from Obsidian is almost among us. Players are definitely eagerly awaiting putting their hands on this hot new little piece of narrative and interesting mechanics. But, also, many are wondering about the Avowed multiplayer capabilities. Let’s look at what we know so far.
The scope of the game definitely seems to be much more concentrated than, say, Skyrim. It is going for a more focused experience in the style of The Outer Worlds which, in our eyes, is definitely an interesting design choice.
So, if you’re keeping an eye on Obsidian’s future title, you might also want to know about Avowed multiplayer and what it will feature. Let’s examine our clues and facts.
Is Avowed multiplayer?
So far, we don’t have much information. So we do not know yet if Avowed will feature any kind of multiplayer capabilities. We will have to wait until the devs announce more details on the game, to find out if they are including any kind of network or coach multiplayer feature.
Clearly, co-op is one of the hottest features at the moment. While we are all okay with playing online with people we don’t know, having the possibility to sit down with a friend and experience an exciting story, is really the best option there is.
We are pretty sure that Obsidian, if they can, will definitely think about including it to the joy of many players out there. We will have to wait and see.
Will Avowed get co-op multiplayer features?
While we are not sure at this stage, for lack of information, we would say that probably Avowed will not get co-op multiplayer. Overall, Obsidian cares very much about the story and the narrative.
Adding co-op, while definitely fun for all players, will require modifying the story and writing it in such a way as to make sense for more than one player. While that is not impossible, it would require planning right from the start and we are not sure that’s the direction the studio would like to take.
But as with all things in life, we will only be sure when the studio will tell us. So, that’s all we have for you on Avowed multiplayer feature. But if you’re curious to find out more about the game, check out its Steam deck performance and settings, plus its system requirements.
