With the Xbox Series X being an absolute powerhouse of a console, it's natural to start to wonder if it's worth having a high-end PC or just one of these beastly consoles.
It's the kind of thing that's not really been a consideration up until now, and while high-end PCs may be able to overpower the Xbox Series X, they also cost substantially more.
If only there was a way to see how the two compared to each other in some kind of side-by-side video analysis.
Oh right, there is.
Take a look at this Xbox Series X vs PC comparison video
Ultimately, a comparison between an Xbox Series X and a PC is a hard thing to do because you can adjust far more settings on a PC, and your build is going to determine the power output.
It makes getting an accurate comparison almost impossible and also renders a lot of them kind of pointless.
Well, thanks to the wonderful people at Digital Foundry we have a video we can watch to see how it all plays out:
There are a lot of caveats here, but you need them if you want to try and do a like-for-like comparison.

How does the Xbox Series X measure up to a PC
Ultimately the PC comes out on top at the moment, but it's important to note that the Xbox Series X is new, and it'll be pushed far further in the next couple of years, so a comparison now is just the Series X warming up.
It's also hard to do this kind of thing because you have to nerf the PC a little bit to get a proper comparison, which is inherently antithetical to the whole point of a comparison.
That being said, PC players don't have to worry about being left behind. Yet.
