Xbox Series X launch titles: With Halo Infinite dropping out, which games will be available when the console launches?

With Halo Infinite being pushed back to next year, hopefully, to allow the staff to take a break, have some naps, and spend some time with their loved ones instead of crunching through Christmas, the launch line-up for the Xbox Series X is a little, well, sparse.

It's not a bad thing, a lot of consoles launch with very few games, and often even the ones they do launch with are sub-par.

Nevertheless, we've taken it upon ourselves to make a little list for you to peruse at your leisure. After all, why you should you have to search for things when we can just offer it to you in a funky list?

So, here are the games launching with Xbox Series X

Xbox Series X launch titles

So, the Xbox Series X exclusives first:

  • Tetris Effect: Connected
  • Uh, that seems to be it at the moment

There are launch window games too though, which is a little ambiguous, but the list is:

  • Call of the Sea
  • Chorus
  • Dirt 5
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Scorn
  • Second Extinction
  • The Ascent
  • The Medium
  • Yakuza: Like A Dragon

This list could well be larger, but it could also shrink substantially as we see more and more companies falling foul of the increased pressure of working from home, the pandemic, and this damned heatwave.

Xbox Series X cross-gen launch titles

These are the games that are also releasing or, as is the case for most of them, have already released on the current-gen.

They're still good games, of course, but it's not quite as special, you know? Anyway, here's the list:

  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla
  • Fortnite
  • Gears 5
  • Rainbow Six Siege

There are bound to be plenty more games announced as launch titles (hopefully), but this is what we've got at the moment.
