With this being an incredibly important year for Microsoft thanks to the upcoming release of the Xbox Series X, things are a little more hectic than anybody could have predicted.
There's a lot of uncertainty at the moment, and the impact that coronavirus (aka COVID-19) is having on everyone is a little overwhelming.

It's affecting nearly everyone and things that affect people automatically affect their work. As such, Matt Booty, the head of Xbox, has released a statement via Gamespot regarding everything going on at the moment.
"We know that gaming connects people during times of social distancing, and we are committed to delivering the highest quality Xbox Game Studios games for our global community of players.
At the same time, the health and safety of our XGS development teams is our top priority. Each studio is facing unique challenges and constraints depending on its particular location, and many of our external development partners around the world are similarly affected.
We are supporting our studio leaders to make the right decisions for their teams and their individual games during this challenging time."
This feels like a way of acknowledging the worries that consumers have, while also trying to explain that things might be delayed. It's natural that work is interrupted; after all, many of us have had to change our working habits because of this.
So, it's also natural to expect some games to be delayed because of it. The important thing here is that we all try and be a bit more understanding than usual.
Everybody everywhere is stressed out, and Booty's statement is just another example of why we need to remember that each game that comes out is made by people.
This statement seems to be hinting that the Xbox Series X itself should be fine, but that the game studios that Microsoft own could be affected by things.
That could mean anything from a physical shortage of games, delays, or maybe even slightly less polished experiences than we're used to, at least on release.
It's all a lot to take in, but maybe we can all just be chill with each other and push through to the other side.
In the meantime, it makes sense to maybe pick up one of the current-gen consoles and smash through a backlog or two.
