Xbox Free Weekend: Which games are available for free, and how do you claim them?

While a lot of us are facing the prospect of a rather wet and windy weekend, we're obliged to inform you of a chance to play some games you might not own.

Starting at 8:01 AM on the 27th and ending at 7:59 AM on the 30th of August, Microsoft is running another Xbox Free Play Weekend.

It's a perfect chance to try out games that you might have you had your eye on but not bought just yet.

Here's everything you need to know about this week's Xbox Free Play Days.

Which games are in the Xbox Free Play Days

There are three games included this weekend, each of which offers a very different experience to players.

Outward is the smallest of the games, it's an open-world survival RPG. It's a bit rough around the edges, but some people love it.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 offers an excellent chance to go pew pew, but also swish swish, and also question who your father may or may not be. Also, it's pretty and the multiplayer is fun.

Finally, Rainbow Six Siege is an excellent opportunity to jump into a game where everyone expects perfection from you and will shoot you if you're in any way wanting.

How to claim games in the Xbox Free Weekend

Claiming the games is as easy as going to the website and selecting them.

You can then download them to your Xbox One or Xbox One X. You should also be able to do it through the console store, which is probably the easiest way to make sure you're not going to accidentally buy anything.

The games are all a lot cheaper with an Xbox Gold membership too, so if you like them, maybe even pick them up and live your best life.
