Players of classic online FPS Warzone 2 have been waiting for a while to know every detail about the newest Resurgence map and it seems like the wait is almost over. Let's find out all the details about Warzone 2 Resurgence map location and what we know so far.
The Resurgence mode is finally back in Season 2.0 of Warzone 2 in an all-new map. The mode, which sees players fight with a halved player count and respawns enabled, has long been a favourite of many Call of Duty fans.
Let's take a look, then, at the newest Warzone 2 Resurgence map location and all the information we know so far.
What is Warzone 2 Resurgence map location?
The new map will be Ashika Island, also called “Isle of the Sea Lion”. The island is part of a small archipelago located in an undisclosed location, somewhere in the Asia Pacific region. While the map will not be very big, as this is a smaller game mode, there will be several new POIs.
Some of these include such Japanese-themed locations as Tsuki Castle, home to the Main Stronghold, the largest structure on the island and Oganikku Farms, an abandoned industrial area which was once Ashika Island’s busiest industrial region.
Warzone 2 Resurgence map release date
Activision has revealed that Season 2.0 will be launched on February 15th, so this means that players will get a late Valentine's day present. They will be able to access Ashika Island and all of its POIs, get new loot and explore the small map.
Perhaps players were expecting to get their hands on the newest Resurgence map a bit earlier than this, but still, there's not long to go before Season 2.0 is kickstarted and they will be exploring Ashika Island. This new Warzone 2 map will be quite smaller compared to the previous, Al Mazrah, thus allowing players to compete in shorter matches.
