VIDEO: VR music game looks like an AWESOME successor to Guitar Hero!

Games are kind of good. Sometimes the best games end up dying off for whatever reason though, and that was kind of the case with Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

While they do still live on, we've not had a new entry in either for a while, and this year, at least, it's not the kind of game you're going to be able to play like you used to.

As we're entering the new console generation things are even more likely to fall behind, and that means there's space for something new to arise.

Well, that's exactly what Unplugged is aiming to do, and it looks great.

What if Guitar Hero in VR?

The new game from Ricardo Acosta and Vertigo Games looks pretty incredible.

"Unplugged is a VR music game that puts you in front of a crowd. It's not about learning to play guitar, it’s about feeling like a rockstar, it's about immersion. We want you to feel like you are there, you are a rockstar in front of a big crowd and you're interacting with them.”

You can see that that's the case by watching the video:

It really does look incredible, and while it's probably a long way off, we've noted everything you need to know below.

So, let's talk about the boring stuff like price and whatnot.

As it stands there's no word on price, but we do know that the release of the game is meant to be coming in quarter 3 of 2021.

It's also just listed as coming to VR, which probably means Steam rather than any specific storefronts. It's a pretty exciting prospect, so we'll keep you updated.
