TLOU2 Factions: When will TLOU2 factions come out, what will it show, who will you play as, will it be on PS5?

With The Last of Us 2 now sort of behind us, a lot of people are wondering whether or not the multiplayer mode will ever come to be.

Despite not being considered much a multiplayer game, the original The Last of Us Factions was a lot of fun, and a lot of people have very fond memories of it.

Well, we know that this time around you'll likely be playing as the Seraphites and WLF, but we don't know much else about the game.

So, when exactly will The Last of Us 2 Factions be out, and what consoles will it be on?

When will The Last of Us 2 Factions come out?

As reported on last year by Push Square, the Factions mode basically became too large for the game itself, and will be a standalone experience as a result.

Naughty Dog said that: "you will eventually experience the fruits of our team's online ambition, but not as part of The Last of Us: Part II. When and where it will be realized is still to be determined. But rest assured, we are as big a fan as Factions as the rest of our community and are excited to share more when it's ready."

Unfortunately, there's no release date in that. However, it's likely we'll see it before the PS5 comes out, if only for one last hurrah on the console from a first-party studio.

Will The Last of Us 2 Factions come to PS5?

Yes. Well, probably. Given that the original The Last of Us was ported over to PS4 from PS3, it makes sense that the same would happen again here.

Of course, whether or not it'll be released together with the singleplayer game remains to be seen, but you have to imagine that both parts will end up on PS5 because they'll make money.

It's even possible that we find out more about Factions in this week's State of Play, but who knows. You might, depending on when you're reading this.
