It is no question that wireless gaming mouse is becoming the go-to for gamers all over the world. Logitech G were the true innovators behind this; as the G Pro Wireless is still one of the best mice ever made.

ROCCAT has now entered the wireless gaming scene with the release of the Kain 200 Aimo. This RGB wireless gaming mouse looks the part, but can it stack up?

Let’s take a look at our review of the latest ROCCAT mouse.

First Impressions

The design of the Kain 200 Aimo is immediately one of the first aspects you will notice; it is by far the nicest looking ROCCAT mouse to date. The mouse certainly looks the part of any wireless gaming mouse, however one note that surprised us was the big DPI button in the middle of the mouse.

The mouse also feels like a quality one, it does not feel like a cheap wireless mouse at all; one that will hold up for certain.

One of the most vital parts of any mouse, the Kain 200 Aimo has a similar design to the standard gaming mice we see every day. However, there are some aspects that are worth noting! There is a slight curve upwards towards your left mouse button, we can assume this is done as this is perhaps the way mouse gamers hands rest on the mouse. Along with with the slight curvature, there is also an extended piece where the two thumb buttons rest, similar to how the Final Mouse Capetown was designed.

The ROCCAT logo is front and centered at the palm of the mouse, as well the mouse is notably larger than some of the other wireless mice we have used such as the G Pro.

The scroll wheel uses a texturized rubber material which is a fantastic touch, we think this should become the norm across all developers.

There is nothing special about the primary mouse buttons and the thumb buttons; they are in no way flawed, but they are nothing exceptional at least.

Weighing in at over 105g the Kain 200 Aimo is far from the lightest gaming mouse you will use; but it is not an uncomfortable weight for gaming none the less.

Our Score

Cons

  • ROCCAT Swarm Software

Gaming Test

Most gamers will love the Kain 200 Aimo; the glide speed on the bottom of the mouse is some of the best we have tested. As well, the mouse has a fully adjustable DPI inside the Swarm software; albeit the software is confusing at first.

Final Thoughts

The ROCCAT Kain 200 Aimo is perhaps one of the surprise wireless gaming mice in quite some time; in a highly competitive industry that can be seen as hard to enter, ROCCAT has done so. The Kain 200 Aimo checks off all the boxes when it comes to wireless gaming performance; although it is one the heavy side for gaming mice; it does not suffer from this.

If you do not want to spend the hefty price tag of the G Pro Wireless; this should be one of your top options, ROCCAT is here to stay in the wireless gaming industry.
