As with all tera radis, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Greninja will already be at level 100. This means that you’ll want to bring only your best Pokémon for the occasion.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Greninja Raid Best Pokémon
Greninja is one of the strongest Pokémon and it will have water/dark based attacks. While the frog can easily land devastating attacks, it doesn't have as strong a defence, so if your team manages to fend off its strong physical and special attacks, there is a good chance to get in and do some quite significant damage.
Our recommendation is to bring a heavy hitter, but also a Pokémon who can withstand a lot of punishment. Slowbro, Clodsire and Gastrodon are the best Pokémon that you can use to go against Greninja in the Raid.
With that in mind, let's see how to train and prepare these Pokémon for the Greninja Raid.
Slowbro
Pokémon that can deal significant damage is a must for this raid. Our first recommendation is to bring out a creature like Slowbro. Sure, it can't stand a huge amount of damage, but it can be supported by the rest of the team with cheers while it uses Stored Power to deliver a massive attack to Greninja.
Using an ability like Follow Me with other Pokémon might be the key in diverting the frog's attention away from damaging Slowbro, allowing it the time necessary to build up Stored Power to its maximum efficiency.
Klefki
Klefki, in its Bold or Calm nature can be a great defensive creature. Not only possessing a greatly useful movepool, its Prankster ability makes it a premier support Pokemon, ideally to go together with Slowbro.
It can easily support the team with skills that can strengthen the overall defense as to make it more resilient.
Gholdengo
Keeping in mind that Greninja is one of the fastest Pokémon around, Gholdengo might be in trouble against moves like Extrasensory, but overall it can definitely stand its own against special attacks and has some great support moves.
Besides that, the Pokémon possesses strong special attacks which might help in quickly getting rid of Greninja.
Gastrodon
Gastrodon might be a good choice if you want a Pokemon who is strong in resisting poison-type attacks and those pesky water-type moves. Also, keep in mind that it brings to the table some very powerful moves like Storm Drain which is most effective against water attacks.
Considering it also has some self-healing skills, it is definitely one that might be able to stand its ground in the fight against Greninja.
Greninja Tera Raid event date
The Greninja Tera Raid Event will take place over two three-day periods.
The first is on January 27 at 7 PM (Eastern Time), and it will last until January 29 at the same time. Your next window of opportunity will be in February, on the 10th of the month, always at 7 PM (ET), and until February 12 at the same time.
