Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has announced a 7-Star Pikachu Raid, with many fans wanting to add the cute creature to their collection. Like previous raids in the game, this won’t be an easy task but we’re here to help you out with this venture. If you really want another unique Pikachu for your roster, read on to find the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pikachu Raid best Pokémon.

The raid is only a few days away but players should know that this won’t be an easy battle. Like Greninja and Charizard, the Water Tera-type Pikachu will be Level 100, so players need to grind quite a bit to prepare themselves. Make sure to bring your best Pokémon to the fight as this Pikachu will go from cute to nightmare-inducing.

For now, here are the Pokémon who we think can pull out a victory in this 7-Star Pikachu Raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pikachu Raid Best Pokémon

While Pikachu might not be much of a threat in the wild, this version is expected to give unprepared players hell. However, since the 7-Star Pikachu Raid has confirmed that it will be a Water-type and Thunder-type, there are a good number of Pokémon who can beat it. Ground-types are out and Grass-types are in.

Meowscarada

Sprigatito’s final evolution, Meowscarada should be able to hold its own in the 7-Star Pikachu Raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Being a mix of Grass and Darkness, it should have a decent amount of defence against Pikachu. Though its Electric-type attacks will do decent damage, the Water-type attacks shouldn’t be too effective.

Grass-type moves are expected to do a ton of damage, so make sure to have either Leaf Storm, Energy Ball, or Magical Leaf in your move-set. Fans won’t have to worry much if these moves have been removed, as Scarlet and Violet lets you put old moves back easily in the basic pause menu.

Just to be safe, make sure that Meowscarada is Level 100. Power up its Special Defense and Defense with stat-improving items if need be. Meowscarada might not be the strongest Pokémon out there but it should be enough to snag this Water Tera-type Pikachu.

Arboliva

The final evolution of the adorable Smoliv, Arboliva is likely to be one of your first Grass-type Pokémon if you chose Fuecoco or Quaxly. Despite not being too much of a powerhouse, Arboliva should have enough Grass-type advantages to squeak out a victory, even though it’s half Normal-type.

Firstly, Arboliva’s Seed Sower ability should be a huge help in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 7-Star Pikachu Raid. The ability ensures that Arboliva will see a Grassy Terrain every time it gets hit, boosting the attack of Grass-type moves. Not only does it increase the power of its own Grass-type moves, like Petal Blizzard and Petal Dance, but it helps your teammates who might have a Meowscarada or other Grass-types.

Like Meowscarada before it, make sure that Arboliva is Level 100 before taking part in this fight. Power up its Defense and Special Defense so that it doesn’t take much damage from Pikachu’s various attacks.

Appletun/Flapple

It doesn’t matter which evolution your Applin takes, both Appletun and Flapple will be a huge help in the 7-Star Pikachu Raid in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Both of these Pokémon are a combination of Grass-type and Dragon-Type. Aside from that good Grass-type damage, being a Dragon-type means they have plenty of resistance against Electric-types.

Players that choose to evolve Applin into Appletun can rely on Energy Ball to deal damage to the Water Tera-type Pikachu. They can also use a Technical Machine to have it learn Magical Leaf or Leaf Storm to do extra damage.

Flapple players will have to use Grav Apple to deal good damage. Like Appletun before it, feel free to use Technical Machines to teach it moves like Magical Leaf or Seed Bomb.

Pikachu Tera Raid event date

The Pikachu Tera Raid takes place over one three-day period.

According to Serebii, the Piakchu Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet runs from 00:00 UTC on February 24th through 14:59 UTC on February 27th.
