Run Minecraft as an Administrator
If the Minecraft Launcher is experiencing this error, it may not have the correct privileges to open Minecraft. To fix this issue, you need to launch the game as an administrator.
This can be done by Right-Clicking on the Minecraft Launcher and opening its Properties.
Here, you will need to scroll to the Compatibility tab and click the Run this program as an administrator option. Once selected, press Apply and reopen the Minecraft Launcher.

Update your Minecraft Launcher
As with many of the Minecraft errors, the issue may be that something needs updating.
However, rather than updating the game through the Microsoft Store, for example, error code 5 has a different solution.
To update your Minecraft launcher, go to the Nativelog.txt file within the Minecraft folder and open the link that contains the phrase 'MinecraftLauncher.exe'
From this link you can redownload the Minecraft Launcher. Once downloaded, move the file to the Minecraft folder and delete the previous launcher file.
