Is State Of Decay 3 on Xbox One or Xbox Series X?

Zombies are here to stay. It's just a fact of life, and while defending against them nearly always involves bits of wood and a double-tap, where you'll be fighting them can change a lot.

State of Decay 3 is the latest in the popular series about not being eaten by zombies, and the new trailer has caused quite a stir.

It's got a lot of people wondering when and where they'll be able to play it.

So, here's what you need to know about which console can play State of Decay 3.

Is State Of Decay 3 on Xbox One or Xbox Series X?

Well, the good news is that State of Decay 3 is definitely coming to Xbox Series X. That means you'll be able to make noise, get eaten, and regret your poorly made decisions on a whole new console.

The bad news is that it's not coming to Xbox One, or at least they've not said so as of yet.

This is a little odd given that State of Decay isn't a graphically intensive series, but there's a lot more than just being pretty that counts when it comes to cross-gen games.

Why is this the case?

While the trailer certainly looks impressive, it's still unlikely that State of Decay 3 will be pushing the graphical envelope.

Instead, it's far more likely that the extra power of the Xbox Series X will be utilised to remove loading times, or at least reduce them, as well as allow for a lot more enemies on screen and interactions in general.

The power of the next-gen will allow for a whole new way of playing games, one that we've not really experienced before. That means more things to do, more ways to do them, and plenty of other things that you'd never guess.
