When Ghost of Tsushima first launched, it received huge plaudits for how beautiful it is - and that was on PS4. So, imagine how stunning it might look on a PS5.

While Ghost of Tsushima first launched as a PS4 exclusive in mid-2020, this was before the PS5 existed. With the PS5's higher resolutions, improved frame rates, haptic feedback and ray tracing, a PS5 version is a mouth-watering prospect for any fan of Sucker Punch's GOTY nominee.

Here's a look at the future holds for the samurai series.

Is Ghost of Tsushima on PS5?

Thanks to the backwards compatibility of the PS5, the PS4 version of Ghost of Tsushima is playable on the new console. What's more, the PS5 automatically enhances it.

The PS4 Pro version runs at 1080p and 30fps, while the PS5 gives you 60fps and 1800p resolution. This is without the game undergoing any particular reworking specifically for the PS5.

Ghost of Tsushima PS5 Version

It seems a new version of Ghost of Tsushima is not far off, following reports that ESRB has rated Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. The Director's Cut is rated for both PS4 and PS5.
