So, the main way most people will do this is in-game. Therefore, you need to know how to do it, and this is what you need to do:

  • Select the Options menu on the home screen
  • Select the Account tab
  • Select Activision Account
  • Select Change Display name
  • Enter whatever your new name is
  • Select Confirm
