There are a lot of games out there that would make for excellent movies and TV shows. While Borderlands might not be the one you'd think of straight away, it does make sense when you look at the setting and the over-the-top characters.

Well, the good news is that there is a Borderlands move in the works.

That's right, your chance to visit the big-screen version of Pandora is coming, and we thought we'd collect all of the information out there for you.

So, here's everything we know about the Borderlands movie.

We've yet to see so much as a teaser trailer for the Borderlands movie.

It's highly likely that this is because things aren't all that far along as of yet.

It seems like things should have been kicking off this year but has been held up substantially by the whole pandemic thing we've got going on at present.

Borderlands movie release date

Unfortunately, that hold up also means we've got no idea on a release date.

We're likely in the earliest possible stages of the film, which means that we're a good few years away from the film actually releasing.

That means that we'd be very lucky to see the film in 2023, realistically, but you never know, maybe they'll somehow perform some magic and get it out earlier.

Borderlands movie cast

So far, we know that Eli Roth is going to be directing the film. You might know him from films like Inglorious Basterds or Hostel.

We also know that Cate Blanchett has been cast to play Lilith the Siren and that she will likely be one of the main characters in the film.

Outside of that, we don't know much else, though there have been rumours of The Rock joining the cast, no doubt playing the role of Brick, who is also obscenely hench.
