Deciding on the best Oculus games is no easy task. With the enormous variety of games available, you may be struggling to know what to choose and start suffering from decision paralysis.
Luckily, we are about to make your life a whole lot easier. We say luckily. Luck has nothing to do with it. We're running you through a selection of the best games available to play on your Quest headset.
Before anyone gets outraged, this list is by no means exhaustive; it's merely our humble contribution to the debate, and more importantly, offers players some great titles to immerse themselves in.

Best Oculus games
Before we dive into the list itself, it's worth mentioning that some of these games will not be available to buy and play directly on your Quest headset.
In some cases, these are games which will need a PC to play on, which can then be linked to your Quest either via a Link Cable, or via AirLink.
With that said, here are some of our absolute favourite VR games that you can enjoy.
Half-Life: Alyx
We'll start with the game widely held as the best VR game of all time - Half-Life: Alyx. Built by Valve specifically for VR, this is a game that you'll need to buy via Steam VR and then link to your headset.
But trust us, it's worth the effort. Great physics, a gravity glove to pull objects towards you, throw stuff at people, and a compelling story to boot, make this something of a "must-play" for any VR gamer.
Beat Saber
Star Wars meets Guitar Hero in Beat Saber, an enormously addictive rhythm game. You swing your saber to hit blocks, while also having to dodge obstacles that fly towards you.
There are varying degrees of difficulty depending on your skill level, there's a multiplayer option, and a variety of great songs that you can easily add to the courtesy of the option to mod Beat Saber.
It's great for anyone who wants a physically demanding game, and some great music to boot. There's a reason Facebook claimed that Beat Saver saved the Oculus Quest.
Pistol Whip
Following on from our previous entry is another, slightly newer rhythm game. In Pistol Whip, rather than wielding a sword, you use guns. Lots of guns.
In this game, you move down corridors shooting at enemies who are firing back at you. You earn bonus points if you shoot them in time to the backing music.
It's a little more dramatic perhaps than Beat Saber but offers much of the same full-body gameplay. And it's ideal if you want to feel like you're a badass in the style of John Wick.
The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
While Skyrim may have been around for well over a decade, it remains a much-loved game. So if you feel like immersing yourself even more fully in that world, it is now possible to play Skyrim VR on Oculus.
Much like Half-Life: Alyx, this is one that needs to be played with a PC and then linked to your Quest headset. It remains a huge open world for you to explore. And there are plenty of mods available from the community if you want to make any changes.
Among Us
Among Us was a joyful surprise hit when it was released, and it makes it into our list of best Oculus games because it is a wonderful party game.
It's a relatively simple premise: a crew needs to complete tasks in order to keep their ship in one piece. But one player is hellbent on sabotage and murder. That player needs to evade detection, while everyone else has to try to discover who it is. Jessica Fletcher would have loved it, and so will you.
Star Wars: Tales From the Galaxy's Edge
Of course, there's a Star Wars game on this list, and Tales From the Galaxy's Edge is well-deserving of its place. You play as a droid technician who crashlands on the planet of Batuu. You'll need to fight foes and find clues in order to recover the cargo from your ship.
Players get to play alongside characters such as Yoda, R2-D2 and C-3PO. There's also new DLC to add even more depth and polish to an already good game. If you're a fan of Star Wars, this is a good place to start.
Little Cities
If you want something a little more sedate, then Little Cities is a great shout. It's a game designed for VR, which makes it far more intuitive than it could have been otherwise.
It's a classic city simulator, where you create your city and watch it come to life. You'll have to plan carefully, as success or failure depends on how you layout amenities, roads, and other services.
Resident Evil 4 VR
Next, we're going to take a look at Resident Evil 4 - perfect for fans of horror games. winner of numerous awards, this has been remastered specifically for VR, as players take on the role of Special Agent Leon S. Kennedy, as you fight to save the President's daughter from a kidnapper.
With full motion control support and a first-person view, it doesn't get much more immersive than this. But there are also plenty of options to fine-tune the settings to keep things comfortable.
The Climb
If you like the idea of climbing a sheer cliff-face, without the undesirable potential consequences of losing your grip, then The Climb is well worth considering. Made by Crytek, perhaps best known for Far Cry and Crisis, The Climb is a free-climbing simulator, which will give you the thrill of climbing realistic environments, with none of the discomforts.
Offering multiplayer, Tourist mode (which simplifies the mechanics to make life easier) and Bouldering (which demands perfect technique) you can explore beautifully rendered landscapes including the Alps, the American southwest, and Southeast Asia.
Population: One
Our final entry is an exclusive VR Battle Royale game, which takes some of its inspiration from Fortnite. But Population: One offers much more than being a simple imitation.
You play in a team of three and scavenge for weapons and supplies. There are plenty of different guns to use, and structures you can build. But the star of the show is the combat system.
Pretty much everything is climbable, and jumping off a tall building will let you glide in a wingsuit. It's an intense online shooter experience. And if you enjoy games like Fortnite, this will almost certainly have something to offer you.
