Baldur's Gate 3 spells VIDEO: A beginners guide to spellcasting in the early access game

Baldur's Gate 3 has been out in Early Access for nearly a month now, and that means that it's been absolutely dissected by the people playing it, all of whom can offer new players sage advice.

That means that if you're new to the game, you can go in with all the knowledge of a veteran.

If you're a new player and you like the idea of raining spells down upon your foes, then there are lots of resources out there for you.

However, this one, in particular, is a great place to start.

Learn everything you need to know about spellcasting in Baldur's Gate 3

The video comes from WolfheartFPS, who has been putting out a frankly absurd amount of content regarding Baldur's Gate 3.

He's done a lot of guides and whatnot for the game, but we're just here to highlight his excellent video on spellcasting in Baldur's Gate 3.

Spellcasting in the game can be a little tricky to wrap your head around, but it's all much easier to do once you've seen this video.

What are the best spells in Baldur's Gate 3?

While WolfheartFPS does go into everything in the video, we've got our own favourite spells here at Stealth Optional, so we thought we'd tell you what they are.

First up we have Eldritch Blast. This one comes from the Warlock school of Spellcasting and is an incredibly powerful one if you're willing to double down on it with the right level up choices.

Next, we have Sleep. Sleep does exactly what you'd expect it to, except it can hit multiple creatures. This makes it a powerhouse if you've got a balanced team to do damage once everyone is out for the night.

Finally, we're big fans of Mage Hand. Sure, it's not a flashy spell, but when you can throw and push nearly everything, it's an all-purpose skill that'll give you the edge in nearly every battle.
