Warzone vs Fortnite reviews: Which battle royale game has the best reviews?

So, you've decided to jump into a free battle royale game, but you're not sure which one is for you.

For some reason, you know you don't want the zaniness of Hyper Scape, or the character and the sheer joy of Apex Legends, and have instead decided to choose between Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone.

There are pros and cons to each game, of course, but maybe you just want a by-the-numbers breakdown of which one is for you.

So, here is a breakdown of the reviews for Warzone and Fortnite.

What are Warzone reviews like?

To try and do this fairly, we're going to do a sum total of the Metacritic average score across PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

So, with that in mind, on PC, Warzone is 80, on Xbox One it's 78, and on PS4 it's 79. That gives us an overall total of 237.

Now, Warzone is the better choice for those who prefer first-person shooting, a more realistic approach, and gigantic file sizes that will ruin every other game you attempt to install on whatever you're playing it on.

What are Fortnite reviews like?

Onto Fortnite then, with an impressive total of 237 to beat across PC, Xbox One, and PS4, let's see how it does.

On PC Fortnite has 81, on Xbox One it's 85, and on PS4, it's 78. That puts the total at 244, which means it's better than Warzone.

It's also available on way more platforms, has a smaller file size, is a lot more colourful, and is in third-person instead of first-person.

Plus, you've got the whole building thing to master, and the occasional in-game movie to watch. It's the better game for most people, but if you don't like what it's doing, then Warzone may well be the right choice.
