How to update Fortnite to Chapter 2 Season 7.
Good news, most of the time your Fortnite game will update automatically. You can often check for updates by launching the game and as you do so you’ll be told if you need to update the game first or not.
That being said, the games will often only update automatically if you’ve used them recently, so be sure to load in a few times ahead of the full launch of the next season, or you’ll miss out on those first moments in a brave new world.
If, in a few very select circumstances, the update doesn’t seem have appeared, we’d recommend manually selecting the game and going to its settings. Here, you should be able to press some sort of ‘Check for Updates’ button, depending on the platform.
When does Chapter 2 Season 7 start?
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 is expected to start on June 8, 2021. There will be some downtime prior to start of it, and you’ll want to update your game during this downtime to enter the new season as qucikly as possible.
Once it starts there’ll be loads of new content to explore, challenges to master, and skins to unlock. The beginning of a new season is always an exciting time in Fortnite, and we expect this one to be no different.
That also means that today is your last chance to enjoy the game world as is, so get involved and smash out a few rounds just for old times sake.
