If you’re looking to get a new console in this, the year of 2021, then maybe you’re thinking about getting a handheld.

Sure, last year didn’t offer much of a chance to travel, but hopefully, the world can collectively pull together and we can maybe go back to some semblance of normality.

If that does happen, of if you’re just after a little something to treat yourself with, then we’ve got something you might be interested in.

We’d like to introduce you to the Powkiddy X18S.

Powkiddy X18S specs

The specs of this little handheld are quite impressive, and it looks as though it could be an excellent choice for those wanting a beast of a handheld console.

  • 5.5″ IPS Touchscreen Display
  • Six-Core ARM CortexTM-A55 Processor 2.0 GHZ CPU
  • Mali G52 GPU
  • 6GB – 8GB RAM
  • 5500 MAH Battery

It’s all pretty impressive, and it means that you’re going to have a lot of power in your palms.

Powkiddy X18S features

Aside from running Android 10 with Google Play, the console will be able to emulate an awful lot of consoles which means you’ll likely be using it to play your favourite games from yesteryear.

It’s the kind of thing that means it’ll stand out in a field of whatever other handhelds come along, but it does mean you’ll be stuck in the past with it, which is fine for some people.

Powkiddy X18S price

There’s no official comment on the price of this as of yet, but given the power of the thing, we’d be surprised if it was less than £300.

It all depends on how easy it is to manufacture among other things.

Powkiddy X18S release date

Unfortunately, there’s no word on the release date yet either.

That being said, we wouldn’t be too surprised to see it before April to keep it within this fiscal year.
