Warner Bros is “Aggressively Anti-Snyder" says SnyderVerse creator Zack Snyder

DCEU fans love Zack Snyder. Those who have always backed the fan-favourite director have adored his vision of the DC universe. However, there's one company that is currently at odds with fans' love of the director: Warner Bros.

In a new interview, the director confirmed that Warner Bros is entirely against the director at the moment. Possibly due to the massive fan campaign to put the director back in the spotlight, the studio is allegedly “Aggressively Anti-Snyder".

Warner Bros is “Aggressively Anti-Snyder"

In an interview with Jake's Takes, Snyder explained that Warner Bros is very against continuing working with the director. Snyder acknowledges that there's obviously a huge audience for his universe, but the studio isn't interested in chasing it.

“Warner Bros is aggressively anti-Snyder, if you will,” Snyder explained. “What can I say? Clearly, they are not interested in my take [on DC]. But, I would also say, they certainly weren't interested in, I would’ve said originally, my take on Justice League. They certainly made decisions about that."

The director continued to explain that he continues to love the DC universe and its fans. Despite the troubles its brought, he would still like to work with those characters.

“I love the characters, I love the worlds, and I think it's an amazing place to make a movie,” he said. “It's a glorious IP. I don't know what could be done as you go forward other than I think the fan movement is so strong. The fan community, [their] intention is so pure, and I really have huge respect for it. I hoped that cooler heads would prevail with [Warner Bros] and they would see that there's this massive fandom that wants more of that. But who knows what they'll do?”

Is there any hope for the SnyderVerse?

Warner Bros does have fans for the future of the SnyderVerse. While the main MCU-like crossovers of these characters are dead, some of the portrayals is these characters will live on. Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash will have their own individual movies. However, Henry Cavill as Superman appears to be dropped.
