The Mandalorian video game reportedly in development for Xbox

Star Wars and Xbox exclusivity have gone together for decades. KOTOR on console, Star Wars Kinect, need I say more? However, that exclusivity may be continuing with a new title based on the new hit thing: The Mandalorian.

With another Lucasfilm property already in development for the console, Indiana Jones, could this be true? Whatever the case, it’s one saucy rumour.

Xbox exclusive The Mandalorian game

Reported by Pure Xbox, multiple sources have come out to say that Xbox is getting The Mandalorian adapted into a video game. Following a new video of Phil Spencer – who has a habit of hiding new projects on his shelf – fans deducted that the Star Wars show is next on Xbox’s list. On the Xbox boss' shelf was believed to be a Funko Pop of Din Djarin.

Recently, YouTuber MrMattyPlays – who reliably leaks Bethesda plans – revealed that another Lucasfilm property is getting adapted. Following this, "Shpeshal Ed" of XboxEra revealed that it is indeed based on Disney's Star Wars show.

"Ok. So, you’ll notice...there’s a Mandalorian Funko on Phil’s shelf,” Ed said. “Yes. Someone is making a Mandalorian game. Not sure who yet. Sorry... By the way. The Funko was in the last Phil’s shelf pic. I personally never noticed it the first time. But once I saw it this time I asked if I could mention the game and got the ok."

Afterwards, it was revealed that the Funko Pop was not of Din Djarin but actually Arbiter from Halo. However, Ed revealed that his info wasn't wrong and that he had to apologise to his source.

“Ok, so liiiiittle bit of a whoopsie,” he said. “Yeah, there's going to be a Mando game. But um...that's apparently not a Mando Funko. I might have just said something I wasn't supposed to yet. Hoping I didn't just burn my source. Got some apologising to do."
