The Flash star Ezra Miller has be the centre of numerous controversies these past months. From assaulting numerous people in a karaoke bar to threatening to “kill” and “bury” a couple, DC’s Speedster has rapidly lost reputation.
However, over the past few weeks, that reputation has only dwindled further with uncomfortable allegations surfacing. First reported by TMZ, Miller has been accused of grooming a now-18-year-old teenager from the age of 12. Now, the two are seemingly on the run.
Ezra Miller runs with alleged “groomed” victim
Last week, the parents of 18-year-old Native American activist Tokota Iron Eyes filed a complaint against Ezra Miller. The complaint accused the 29-year-old actor of grooming Iron Eyes from the age of 12.
In the complaint, Iron Eyes’ parents claimed Miller used “violence, intimidation, the threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over” their child. The parents claimed the Miller’s years-long interactions with their child caused them to drop out of school.
When the court attempted to find Miller and Iron Eyes, they could not. As Miller cannot be found by the courts, they also cannot be served the complaint from Iron Eyes’ parents.
Despite grooming allegations, Tokota Iron Eyes has come out to say that they are mentally stable and described Miller as a “comrade” who has protected them. Iron Eyes, who identifies as non-binary, claims that their parents are attempting to force a conservatorship, one that would allow them to control their adult life.
In just one segment of a lengthy statement, found here, Iron Eyes said:
“I am in no way, or under any circumstance have ever been during my short lived adulthood, in need of a conservatorship. My father and his allegations hold no weight and are frankly transphobic and based in the notion that I am somehow incapable of coherent thought or opposing opinions to those of my own kindred worrying about my well being. I am now aware of the severity of emotional and psychological manipulation I was made to endure while in my parents home.”
Miller Memes Away
With the actor’s controversy at its peak, Ezra Miller has remained quiet on the situation. Despite multiple arrests in Hawaii for assault and harassment, the actor has yet to release a statement for his weeks of crimes.
However, with numerous outlets accusing Miller of kidnapping Tokota Iron Eyes, the actor has decided to vaguely speak out. Instead of posting a statement, the actor posted memes on their now-deleted Instagram account.
In a number of posts, Miller posted images that many assumed to mocking the authorities looking for them. One post claimed, “You cannot touch me, I’m in another universe”, whereas another claimed it was a “message from another dimension”.
One post pictured an image of a pixel-art man vomiting, saying: “Me when I said I was nice when I should have said who the f**k are you talking to”. Their last post was a lengthy text claiming that they were shielding themselves from “negative people”.
We don’t currently know why Miller’s account has been deleted in the wake of these posts. For example, the account could be killed after a wave of reports, or the actor could’ve deleted it themselves after negative responses.
What will happen to The Flash?
While certainly not the most important part of the situation, many are wondering what Warner Bros will do with the upcoming The Flash movie. Starring Miller, who is also a producer on the movie, the film has been through significant delays and production Hell.
Even amid all the controversies, Warner Bros appears adamant in releasing the movie as is next year. However, if even more controversies surrounding Miller release, they might have to recast It’s not known why Miller’s account has been deleted in the wake of these posts. The account could’ve been removed after a wave of reports, or their part or cancel the film.
