Sebastian Stan has no idea how long he'll stay as Bucky Barnes

Phase One MCU actors are slowly staring to depart from the massive cinematic franchise. Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr and Scarlet Johansson are all leaving Marvel behind. With that in mind, how long do smaller actors like Sebastian Stan have yet?

While some actors like Anthony Mackie have revealed they'd happily play their characters for 20 more years, other actors have been less vocal. Sebastian Stan has only just started a new arc for Bucky Barnes, and it looks like he isn't going anywhere yet.

Sebastian Stan doesn't know how long he'll stay in the MCU

In an interview with The Just for Variety podcast, Stan explained that he'll keep playing Bucky Barnes as long as Marvel wants him to. While the constant work the MCU requires takes a lot of time, it's dependable work.

"[I've got] no idea, man. It’s not up to me. I don’t make these decisions. As long as they’ll keep calling, I’m there. I don’t know. I get old, too. Like everyone in the world, I AGE! So I don’t know what that means. Maybe it doesn’t mean anything! I have no idea. I’m just going for the ride."

Stan was asked whether or not he’d be willing to pay the character until he's 80 years old. That would keep the actor in the role of Bucky Barnes until 2063. With multiple Marvel movies releasing per year, that would leave fans with a lot of content.

"May I be so lucky. It’s really quite wild, it really is. A lot of people on TV, there are shows that have gone on for so many seasons, Friends, I mean, there’s a lot of where…you get to go and play a character for such a long period of time. It’s like gaining a family member. You gain, like, a brother or something in this case for me. You get to see this character again and again, and then you’re always growing up, and they’re sort of growing up with you in a weird way."
